Norfolkline have a brand new vessel "Scottish Viking" which will depart from Zeebrugge in Belgium and will sail directly into Rosyth. Rosyth is about 30mins from Edinburgh the capital of Scotland.

Dover - Dunkerque, within easy driving distance from Dunkerque there are some fantastic places to see and regions to discover.

NEW VESSEL, NEW ROUTE!  Spring 2009 will see Norfolk Line launch the brand new NorfolkLine vessel operating an overnight service from Rosyth in Scotland - Zebruggee.

Norfolkline sails to Ireland too, with routes from Birkenhead - the post of Liverpool- to either Dublin or Belfast.

 

Starting in spring 2009 Norfolkline will run a service with 3 depatures from each port every week. The vessel will depart from Zeebrugge on a Monday,Wednesday and Friday at 18.00 and from Rosyth in Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday at 17.00 UK time.

As a dynamic organasation, Norfolkline are constantly looking for growth oppertunities. The new vessel is under construction in Italy. This is a modern vessel with lower fuel cosumption and CO2 emissions.

 20 Crossings a day, with up to 20 crossings daily, and a crossing time of only 2 hours, there is bound to be  a sailing to suit you.

DIRECTIONS TO FERRY TERMINAL:

To get to the Dunkerque ferry terminal from the A25 Lille, join the A16 in the direction of Calais.

From the A16 Dunkerque/Belgium take exit 24 and follow the signs for port rapide/car ferry.

From St Omer the D600 crosses the A16 direct to the ferry terminal.

From Dunkerque Cantre follow the signs to Loon Plage/Car Ferry.

 

NORFOLKLINE VOTED TOP FERRY OPERATOR

 

Norfolkline, the Dover - Dunkerque passenger ferry operator, has won the 'Best European Crossing Operator' .

The result at the prestigious annual awards ceremony, placed Norfolkline ahead of not just other cross channel companies  operating from Dover , but also Western Channel and North Sea ferry operators.

NorfolkLine, Dover - Dunkerque have been operating for four years now and have three new purpose - built ferries currently under construction, they will provide a crossing time of 1 hour 50 minutes. These new ships will feature even greater exclusivity for the motorist, carrying only cars, caravans, motorhomes and Motorcycles. Major new features include dedicated loading decks and on board passenger facilities, seperating tourist and freight traffic throughtout.The first ship is due to enter service in August 2005, followed by second in December the same year. The third ferry is to be introuduced in June 2006.

 






 

 

Norfolkline the smart way to cross the Channel

 

Dunkerque is one of the best placed of the French ports for continental travellers, giving direct access to the motorway links to France, the Benelux Countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as the French and Italian Alps.  Drive times to many resorts and business centres are shorter than the more traditional routes. 


Norfolkline’s Dover – Dunkerque service was launched in Spring 2000 and now with three modem sister ships provide up to 10 return sailings daily, with a crossing time of just two hours.

 

The service concentrates on the needs of the motorist and is dedicated to cars, cars and caravans/trailers, motorhomes and motorcycles.  Coaches, coach and foot passengers are not carried.

 

Passengers can travel in spacious comfort, have a leisurely meal, relax in a lounge or bar, and stock up on drinks, fragrances and other goods from the shop at French duty-paid prices. An on-board bureau de change is also available.

 

Norfolkline’s exclusive, new-look Dunkerque passenger terminal includes a ‘Bottle Stop’ shop selling an extensive range of wines beers and spirits, a 300-seater first floor lounge, café, children’s play area, satellite TV and PC/mobile work stations.

 

 

Success built upon quality standards and value for money

 

With the continued success and growing customer appeal of the Dover – Dunkerque route, Norfolkline has ordered three new purpose-built ships, currently under construction.

 

Providing dedicated vehicle decks and on-board facilities for motorist passengers and freight drivers, each ship will have capacity for 200 cars, 780 passengers and up to 120 freight vehicles.  Service speed will be 25 knots, with a crossing time of just 1 hour 50 minutes.  The first ship is expected to enter service in July 2005 followed by the second in November and third in June 2006.
