Ld Lines Norman Arrow will be the largest ever fast ferry to operate on the Western Channel Routes between England & France.
Norman Arrow will provide a reduced crossing time, making it possible for passengers to visit Lehavre for a day excursion.
Norman Arrow will operate daily departing Portsmouth at 0830hrs and departing Le havre at 1830 hrs.
All types of vehicles will be carried including cars, caravans, motorhomes, motorcycles, coaches and foot passengers.
Ld Lines conventional ferry Cote d'Albatre operates a year round service on the route with a night sailing from Portsmouth and day sailing from Lehavre.
Ld Lines ferry route network also offers Newhaven - Dieppe, Dover - Boulogne and new Ramsgate - Ostend service.

LD Lines has announced the launch of the largest ever fast ferry to operate on the cross channel routes between England and France, with the introduction of a brand new, high speed Incat 112 metre wave-piercing catamaran to its Dover - Bolougne service from 29 May 2009.
LD LINES HAS CONFIRMED ITS ARRIVAL INTO THE DOVER STRAITS CHANNEL FERRY MARKET, FROM FEB 2009 BRINGING FORWARD IS NEW DOVER - BOLOUGNE SERVICE AND NEW ROUTE BETWEEN DOVER - DIEPPE.
THE LD LINES DOVER - BOLOUGNE SERVICE IS RUNNING ALMOST 6 MONTHS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, BY LD LINES INTRODUCING A CONVENTIONAL FREIGHT AND PASSENGER FERRY TO ROUTE.
OPERATING FROM EASTER DOCKS, IN THE PORT OF BOLOUGNE THE SHIP WILL UTILISE THE EXISITING BERTH PREVIOUSLY UTILISED BY FAST FERRY OPERATORS SPEED FERRIES.
FROM THE 12TH FEB LD LINES WILL RUN TWO RETURN SAILINGS DAILY BETWEEN DOVER 0 BOLOUGNE WITH A CROSSING TIME OF 1 HOUR AND 45 MINS. THEY WILL RUN ONE ONE DAILY ROUND TRIP FROM DOVER - DIEPPE WITH A CORSSING TIME OF 4 Hrs 15 Mins

The schedule from Dover - Dieppe will be 17.45 hours sailings Monday to Friday only. Deaprting Dieppe 1pm daily (getting into Dover at 16.15.)
The route will operate with all vehicles types. Presently there will be no foot passengers only access.

LD LINES GRANTED PORT APPROVAL FOR NEW DOVER - BOLOGNE SERVICE IN 2009.
LD Lines has recieved full approval from the Port of Dover for the introduction of its new Dover - Boulogne freight and passenger service in 2009.
Scheduled to start from 1st July 009, the new service will provide four return sailings daily with a crossing time of one hour 45 mins and proposed sailing schedule of:

Freight and tourist traffic including coaches, cars and additionally foot passengers will be carried. The vessel "Norman Spirit" which currently operates on LD Lines Portsmouth - Lehavre service will be replaced on the Western channel and is then expected to be transferred to operate the new Dover - Boulogne route.
The ship capacity for 1850 passenger, 700 cars and 110 freight vehicles.
"We are delighted to have now recieved confirmation from the Port of Dover that our new Dover - Boulogne route has offical approval and we look forward to a very positive , longterm working relationship with the Port Authority, " says LD Lines'Director General Christophe Santoni.
"Our entry into the higly competitive short sea cross channel ferry buisness is a major development for LD Lines. We are convinced the the service will undoubtedly attract new freight and tourist customers, which will benefit both Dover and Boulogne as departure and destination ports".
In the first year of operation the company expects to carry in the region of 120,000 freight vehicles, 133,000 cars and 400,000 passengers.
Bob Goldfield, Chief Executive, Port of Dover said, " The port of Dover welcomes the addiotnal capacity at a time when it is planning a second ferry terminal to meet forecasts in traffic growth."
FARES AND RESERVATIONS INFORMATION WILL BE PUBLISHED IN DUE COURSE.
Note:
LD Lines new service will operate to the newest French port terminal for passenger,cars and freight, as the first cross channel ferry compnay to inaugurate the POrt of Bolulogne's new Ro Ro terminal from 1st July 2009.
The construction of Boulogne's new RO RO terminal and the first linkspan began in the second half of 2008 and will be operation by 1st July 2009.
